Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will be celebrating the holidays with an extra dose of football this year.
The NFL announced that Kelce, 35, and the Kansas City Chiefs will be playing on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day during the upcoming 2025 season.
Kansas City will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, the league revealed on Wednesday, May 14. The game will kick off at 4:30 ET on CBS.
The Chiefs trolled the Cowboys after the announcement, posting a picture of noted Cowboys fan — and Taylor Swift collaborator — Post Malone wearing a Chiefs jersey.

“See you guys at Thanksgiving! 😆”, the Chiefs wrote via X, tagging both the Cowboys and the musician.
Kansas City will host the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas Day, the league announced on Monday, May 12. The game will be broadcast at 8:15 pm ET on Prime Video.
“Let’s make this the loudest silent night of all time 😮💨,” the Chiefs wrote via X.
Kansas City will also travel to São Paulo, Brazil to play the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 on September 5, which Kelce is not particularly enthused about.
“I’ll be playing football in the f***ing heat,” Travis said on the Wednesday, May 14, episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
Kelce said he plans on asking team personnel for “a couple of jerseys, maybe three pairs of pants” for the game.
“There’s just something about getting close to the equator, I don’t want to put on a football uniform doing that,” Kelce continued. “I’ve been in Jacksonville in September, and that’s f***ing miserable.”
He added, “If it’s hot and humid and kind of what I’m expecting, I’m gonna be miserable. But we’re gonna find a way to get a win.”
The Chiefs also played on Christmas Day in 2024, traveling to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers. Kelce’s girlfriend Swift, 34, was not in attendance.

However, Swift did attend the Chiefs home game against the Las Vegas Raiders the day after Thanksgiving. The pop star arrived to the game with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, and was spotted inside the stadium sitting next to her father, Scott Swift.
Swift and her family hosted the Kelce family for Thanksgiving in Nashville, according to People.
“[Travis’ brother] Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special,” the source said.
The 2025 NFL season officially kicks off when the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles host the Cowboys on September 4.
