On May 4, 1925, one of the main financial pillars of the fledgling Irish Free State, the Dublin Stock Exchange, made world history when it received an application for membership from 22-year-old Oonah Keogh.
In an era when boardrooms were exclusively male, the conservative environments of the world’s stock exchanges were seen as off-limits to women, and a woman attempting to enter the fast-paced world of financial trading was considered unthinkable.
