Learning to become a good saver can be tough. My wife and I had to educate ourselves to develop solid saving habits, and along the way, we picked up a few small saving hacks that we still use today.
This is an oldie but a goodie. The idea is simple: every time you receive income into your bank account, the very first thing you do is move a portion of that income into a savings account.
