Tish Cyrus is now aware of all of the eyes on her social media profiles.
Hours after it was reported that Tish, 57, allegedly unfollowed daughter Miley Cyrus, Us Weekly can confirm that Tish is now following Miley again.
TMZ speculated earlier this week that Tish’s unfollow was related to Billy Ray Cyrus alluding to his own reconciliation with their daughter.
“Can’t wait to see this young lady. Crazy how time flies,” Billy Ray, 63, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, May 7, sharing a throwback home video of Miley performing at a grand piano.

Tish’s apparent Instagram activity soon sparked feud speculation.
“This family has always been so messy,” a social media user wrote via X. “Kinda feel bad for the Cyrus kids because we’ve been hearing about Billy Ray and Tish drama since Miley was on Hannah Montana.”
Another claimed, “Tish Cyrus wants to be her daughter so badly.”
Tish later denied that she intentionally unfollowed her daughter’s account.
“I didn’t,” Tish wrote via Instagram comment late on Wednesday. “Idk what happened lol.”
In a separate comment, Tish doubled down that she had “no idea how that happened” but had since fixed the apparent issue.
Tish and Billy Ray got married in 1993, shortly before the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer adopted Tish’s children from a previous relationship, Trace and Brandi. They later welcomed Miley, Braison, 30, and Noah, 25, together before divorcing in 2022.
Two years later, Us broke the news that the family fractured upon Tish’s marriage to Dominic Purcell. A source claimed to Us that Noah was romantically involved with Purcell, 55, for several months before Tish started pursuing the Prison Break star herself. When the couple got married in August 2023, they tied the knot at Miley’s Malibu home. Only Miley, Brandi, Trace and Purcell’s daughters from a past relationship were in attendance.
Miley was the maid of honor and walked Tish down the aisle, telling Vogue that seeing her mom “happy and in love” was a “very emotional” moment.
“Dom and my mom share the sweetest, most genuine love. It’s almost like it’s for the first time, which is so fitting for my mom, who is such a young soul. Since they met, they both started aging in reverse,” Miley told the outlet in 2023. “Somehow, my mom has gotten even more beautiful. The day was as special and magical as they are. To stand beside my mother and give her away to Dom is a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life.”
According to Miley, Tish spent most of her life “behind the scenes.”
“She was always the one getting me ready for big days, starting with cheerleading competitions, then eventually on sets or backstage before a performance,” Miley added to Vogue. “She has never stopped celebrating me and has been so supportive of my decisions. I feel honored to be that person for her, now that I’m older.”
Tish later joined Miley on the red carpet at the Grammys and the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary in 2025. Beforehand, the matriarch and Noah also started mending fences.
“Noah and Tish are working on rebuilding their relationship,” a second source told Us exclusively in August 2024. “It’s been a slow burn and has been very up and down the last several months, but Noah has been more open to the idea of having Tish in her life again.”
