Despite the weeks of preparation and how long talent had been on their feet at the 2025 Met Gala, it turned out to be a late night — especially at the Boom at The Standard hotel after party for one of fashion’s biggest nights.
The rain — have you heard it rained Monday? — did little to dampen the crowd, which ebbed and flowed, and culminated in Shaboozey and Busta Rhymes even hitting the DJ booth after 2 a.m. In between the tunes, which around midnight started with Burna Boy and Black Coffee, were wafting trays of sliders, french fries and fried cauliflower.
Also joining in on the fun were Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Halle Bailey, Yara Shahidi, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Lee, Sergio Hudson and Leon Bridges, all of whom arrived in Tuesday’s early hours.
Earlier on in the night was Coco Rocha, who came in sync with pal Christian Siriano, alongside Bebe Rexha, all still taking sartorial cues from the Met Gala‘s theme of, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” Dascha Polanco, for example, donned cutout suiting with bedazzled fringe, and Nyong’o wore similar powder blue tailoring to what she sported on the Met’a stairs earlier that night. Conversely, dressing for the weather (and the hour), Shahidi showed up in a hoodie, all smiles.
Rocha took time to pose in her sheer dress for the event, unhindered by the showers outside. That seemed to be the theme of the night.
“We wanna party!” shouted DJ Black Coffee from behind the booth, and thus, a party was had.
