Celebrity Big Brother fans confused as JoJo Siwa blames rule break on ‘her sexuality’

Celebrity Big Brother fans are confused by JoJo Siwa’s claim that the secret message she wrote to Chris Hughes was about ‘her sexuality.’

The pair have sparked an unexpected friendship, which began when Chris rushed to comfort JoJo after vile homophobic comments made by Mickey Rourke.

Since then, their bond has grown and become one of the strongest friendships in the house, as they’ve shared moments in bed together with Chris tickling JoJo’s back, danced around the house and revelled in inside jokes.

But one moment during Monday’s episode left fans with a major question after the pair broke a Celebrity Big Brother rule.

Popstar JoJo, 21, was lying on the floor next to Love Island star Chris’ bed, and traced something on his hand with her finger.

‘It makes sense, just think about it,’ she whispered to him before the 32-year-old momentarily hid his face behind his hands and turned over to go to sleep.

On Tuesday night’s episode, Big Brother called out the pair for breaking the house rules (which dictate contestants must not communicate via written messages) and punished them by making them speak exclusively through mega phones.

While defending herself to the other housemates, JoJo said the message wasn’t about nominations, but was in reference to ‘her sexuality.’

This fits in with many fans theories that JoJo wrote ‘bi’ on Chris’ hand, seemingly in answer to his question about whether she was a lesbian or bisexual. However, JoJo has previously been very clear that she identifies as a lesbian.

But the moment left some fans with even more questions, with X user @Breenahxo writing: ‘Did Jojo say about my sexuality? I’m confused #CBBUK #CBB’

After the scene first aired on Monday, fans were left trying to solve the secret message JoJo gave, and some think they’ve worked it out.

@lisammaddog said: ‘What did Jojo write on Chris’ hand??? 3 letters. Second letter looked like it could be an o or a lowercase e.’

‘I reckon she said something about Ella liking him,’ @finlay said, with @phoebe agreeing and saying: ‘I feel like Jojo told Chris that she thinks Ella fancies him.’

‘I think Jojo wrote E and P on Chris’ hand btw,’ @Jasmin commented.

Others have another explanation for JoJo’s secret message, as @BrocqChristine wrote: ‘No. I think she said she was hot in answer to his question as to why she was lying there.’

@Haswelll also thought: ‘She spells out “HOT” he was surprised why she was on the floor I think she was trying to tell him she’s too hot…’

Some fans also called out the pair for breaking rules with their secret messages.

‘Wait though… isn’t Jojo writing on Chris’s hand technically a rule break as well?’ Nick said.

Marie added: ‘Jojo and Chris broke the rules, she was writing a message on his hand.’

‘Surely that’s a rule break,’ Lex said while Caitlin echoed: ‘Rule break again!’

Chris has already been punished by Big Brother after attempting to discuss nominations with Donna Preston, and had to sit in a bin while preparing an apology rap.
