The current spell of dry and bright weather is set to continue well into next week with temperatures to rise again later in the week.
Temperatures have well cooled from the highs seen at the end of April, but today will still be dry and bright with Munster and south Leinster to get the best of spells of sunshine.
Some cloud will come in across the country from the northeast today, with the chance of isolated showers. Highest temperatures will range from 13 to 17 degrees, cooler in the north and east with highs of 10 to 13 degrees.
Tonight will remain dry with mostly clear skies, with overnight temperatures to drop between 1 and 5 degrees. It may be slightly colder in some local areas, bringing the possibility of some grass frost.
Bank holiday Monday will be a dry day with spells of sunshine to start, but cloud will arrive from the afternoon. It will be cooler in the east with highs of 11 degrees, while the west will enjoy a warmer day with highs of 17 degrees.
Met Éireann has said the recent dry and sunny conditions are to continue, though it will be cooler at first before temperatures begin to pick up again as we move through the week.
Tuesday will be dry with spells of sunshine but there will again be some cloud through the afternoon, with highs of 12 to 16 degrees.
On Wednesday, it will again be dry and bright with sunny spells with the chance of some light showers. Highest temperatures will range from 14 to 18 degrees.
Another dry day with some light showers is in store for Thursday, when highest temperatures will be between 13 and 17 degrees.
Looking ahead to Friday and next weekend, it is expected to be warm with more dry and sunny weather though there is a possibility of occasional showers or patches of light rain.
