Our first game against Tipperary went down to the wire and it could have gone either way. For us, it was about getting a result today and the performance was good too.
“We knew Waterford are a great team, and they got off with a great win in their first game. For us to come down here, get a victory and be able to go away with a the points is huge.
“Obviously we are grateful for the Limerick fans who came down here today, it’s not an easy journey. Massive credit to Waterford it was some battle out there. I suppose we have been battling with them right up from Minor is I’ve no doubt they’ll go on throughout the year this year as well.
