A woman in her 70s has died after a fire broke out at a house in Co Limerick.
The tragic blaze occurred at a house on Wolfe Tone Street in the early hours of this morning.
“During a search of the premises, the body of a woman was discovered,” a garda spokesperson said.
“The woman, aged in her 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination.”
Gardaí added that enquiries are ongoing.
