Prince Harry sent a plea to father King Charles III after a landmark loss in his U.K. security trial.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry, 40, told BBC News on Friday, May 2. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
Harry told reporters that Charles, 76, “won’t speak to me” amid the recent legal battle. “It would be nice to reconcile,” the Duke of Sussex added.
Harry and wife Meghan Markle lost their government-funded security in the U.K. after leaving the royal family in 2020. He has been fighting to get it back ever since.
“There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” Harry added. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts [to] do what is necessary.”
