One minute your cheerful preschooler is chattering away about dinosaurs and biscuits, and the next, out pops a curse word that would make their grandmother drop her knitting.
Whether it’s a muttered swear when they drop their toy or a loud expletive shouted across the supermarket, nothing quite prepares you for that first eruption of bad language. And yet, it happens often earlier than most parents expect.
