Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious crash in Co Roscommon.
The collision occurred in Frenchpark at the junction of the N5 and R361 at approximately 4.45pm this afternoon.
The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Frenchpark, Co Roscommon.”
Roscommon TD Claire Kerrane posted on social media to warn motorists to avoid the area.
“Just on route home from Dublin. Appears to be a serious incident in Frenchpark.
“Numerous Garda vehicles, ambulances and fire brigades. Please avoid the area if possible, long delays in and out and no access to the village.
“Please God whatever has happened, those involved will be ok,” said Deputy Kerrane.
