A Wexford woman who spent nearly €40,000 constructing a granny flat without planning permission at her home in Gorey, recently breathed a sigh of relief as An Bord Pleanála have granted her permission to retain it.
Mary Newman of 46 Hazelwood, Goreybridge, Gorey, didn’t realise the lengthy battle she was getting herself into when she began construction on a 42.5m2 independent residential unit in the rear garden of her semi-detached house.
