Welcome to Plathville’s Olivia Plath is spilling the tea about her estranged husband Ethan Plath’s love life, claiming he’s engaged amid their ongoing divorce.
Olivia, 27, broke down her and Ethan’s split timeline via a TikTok video on Monday, April 28. She alleged that while fans saw Ethan sign divorce papers during an August 2024 episode of the TLC series, the pair are still legally married.
“He filled them out incorrectly,” Olivia claimed, revealing that the papers “never went through.” Olivia alleged that she tried to get Ethan to properly fill out the divorce docs, but he blocked her on social media “for, like, a year.”
Olivia, who announced their split in October 2023 after five years of marriage, said Ethan, 26, unblocked her out of the blue “a couple of months ago” and allegedly told her, “We need to get divorced immediately.”
The photographer claimed that Ethan’s sudden urgency was prompted by his new relationship with a woman named Teegan.
“I am wondering why he’s in such a rush to get a divorce. Then I find out, he got engaged,” Olivia claimed via TikTok. “Imagine proposing to a girl, and being like, ‘Will you become my wife?’ And she says, ‘yes,’ and he says, ‘Oh, I have to legally divorce my other wife first.’” (Us Weekly has reached out to Ethan and TLC for comment.)
Olivia pointed out, “He’s still legally married to me because he refused to work with me for over a year. But he already got engaged to another girl.”

She quipped, “He would not give me the chance to peacefully move on for over a year and as soon as he wants to move on I have to jump on his timeline.”
Olivia confessed that a “very small part” of her “does not want to collaborate” with Ethan and get the divorce finalized in a timely manner.
“Good luck setting a wedding date, you’re still f***ing married bro,” she quipped. “I know that if I did not collaborate with him on this I would get five minutes of laughs and then what? That doesn’t do anything for me.”
The former reality star called her former spouse a “petulant manchild” but admitted, “I don’t want to be tied to him anymore.”
Olivia noted that she “blocked” Ethan after he allegedly kept hounding her to sign the divorce papers when she told him she needed to get through tax season first.
“I will work with his attorney but not him,” she explained, adding, “I am so sick of him being in my life and treating him this way.”

Olivia then reflected on Ethan’s new relationship, saying, “Good luck, Teegan. Good luck to your daughter,” hinting they were both in for a wild ride with Ethan.
Olivia and Ethan tied the knot in October 2018 after being engaged for nearly one year. Throughout their marriage, Olivia butted heads with Ethan’s parents and his family because she felt “controlled” by them.
Olivia previously claimed that Ethan’s mom, Kim Plath, had a “pattern” where “she tried to make a lot of decisions for me.” Olivia exclusively told Us Weekly in August 2021, “I was fresh out of my parents’ house and figuring out who I was, and I didn’t want decisions made for me. The wedding was where a lot of that culminated, but it was just across the board. … That created a whole bunch of tension.”
The tension never subsided, and Olivia and Ethan filed for divorce in February 2024. Since calling it quits, Olivia has claimed that she was a victim of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse.
She alleged in March that Ethan threatened to “to shoot my friends that he called out by name that he thought were influencing me to be more liberal and open-minded.” She claimed via Instagram, “The morning we broke up, he told me he was buying guns to ‘restore order.’ [He] later told me he never bought guns, he just said that to scare me.”
Olivia further alleged, “He would back me into corners. He would cuss me out. He would spit on my face. And any time I threatened to call the cops on that, he would say, ‘I didn’t hit you. You have nothing on me.’” (Us previously reached out to Ethan and TLC for comment.)
While Olivia and Ethan’s divorce has yet to be finalized, they have both moved on romantically. Olivia exclusively told Us in July 2024 that she is dating “an amazing guy” named Brendan who was later introduced on season 6 of Welcome to Plathville.
Ethan, meanwhile, went public with his new romance in December 2024. At the time, he didn’t reveal Teegan’s name.
“Proud to introduce my sweet girlfriend! She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and patient people I’ve ever known!” he wrote via Instagram, sharing photos of the pair together. “Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring. Wishing everyone a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”
