Amanda Kloots’ boyfriend Justin Gimelstob knows there’s a lot to admire about the new woman in his life.
“[Amanda’s] a special lady,” Gimelstob, 48, exclusively shared with Us Weekly at “An Unforgettable Evening” benefiting the Women’s Cancer Research Fund on Monday, April 28. “I think it’s cliche, but just how she prioritizes her people and obviously all this and everything she’s been through — how much grace and kindness [and generosity] she shows.”
Long before meeting Gimelstob, Kloots, 43, was married to actor Nick Cordero until his death in July 2020 from COVID-19-related complications. The couple shared a son, Elvis, 5.
When Gimelstob was asked if he feels any pressure to step into the big footsteps of Cordeo, the sports businessman said he only thinks highly of the Broadway star.
“They had such a beautiful relationship, and I only have admiration for the relationship they had,” he told Us. “I just support [Amanda] and obviously the baby is such a sweet boy.”
Gimelstob and Kloots made their red carpet debut at the annual charity event, which brings leaders in entertainment, cancer research and corporate philanthropy together. At one point, the pair shared a sweet kiss as they posed for photographers inside The Beverly Hilton.
Before stepping out in the public eye, Hollywood’s new couple were seemingly able to form a bond in private.
According to Gimelstob — a retired professional tennis player — his girlfriend has already started learning some skills on the court.

“She is [a good tennis player],” he said. “Considering that she picked it up late! She’s a very good athlete. … I love that she’s fit and active and ambitious.”
Back in December 2021, Kloots sparked romance rumors with Bachelor Nation’s Michael Allio. While the pair appeared to be just friends, the former Talk cohost said she was ready to find a new partner.
“I would love to have some love back in my life,” she exclusively told Us Weekly at the time.
As for whether she would search for her future partner on the Bachelor franchise, she said. “I’ve learned to never say never in life.”
Dating aside, Kloots has also made it known that she is focused on her professional life after The Talk came to an end in December 2024.
Kloots has vowed to continue working in the health and wellness space. She is also hosting Live From the Other Side With Tyler Henry on Netflix.
