Anthony Edwards has been hit with another paternity lawsuit.
On April 21, per documents obtained by Us Weekly, Alexandria Desroches filed a combined petition for custody, child support and a declaration of paternity against her ex — 23-year-old Edwards — in New York. The documents claim the NBA star is the biological father of the child, who was born in October 2023.
InTouch Weekly previously reported that Desroches, 26, had filed an initial child support and paternity petition in New York against Edwards on March 13. Days later, Edwards filed his own petition against Desroches in Georgia on March 21, with his lawyer claiming their child was “conceived and born in Georgia” and “all interactions between [Anthony] and [Alexandria] took place in Georgia.”
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Edwards for comment.
“She is raising a child as a single mother and has an open-door policy for [Anthony] to see the child,” Desroches’ lawyer Al Hedayati told InTouch in April.
Desroches’ April 21 filing notes that a paternity action initially filed by Edwards in Gwinnett County in Georgia had been “dismissed or otherwise terminated,” while “a new paternity action for paternity child support” was filed in Fulton County. She is requesting the case be heard in New York and not Georgia, as that is where she and their son currently reside.
Desroches’ filing further claims that Edwards has “admitted to the paternity” of their child and has provided her with “limited child support,” though the documents noted that Edwards provided “some monetary support.” Among other things, Desroches is requesting Edwards pay for childcare, insurance, as well as reimburse her for both pre- and post-natal care.
Part of her filing is the request that Edwards be “legally determined to be the father of the Child.” The documents also state that the child was conceived by the pair in Minnesota in February 2023.
Edwards is already in the midst of another paternity suit with ex Ayesha Howard. (The pair welcomed daughter Aubri Summers in October 2024.) Edwards filed a paternity suit the month Aubry was born, asking for a DNA test using a “neutral and licensed laboratory.” According to court documents, Edwards was “not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri” and claimed “the only issues to be resolved [were] financial in nature.”
Documents obtained by Us in March revealed Edwards had been biologically proven to be Aubri’s father and Howard had been granted temporary sole and legal custody in April. Edwards requested a hearing in Georgia to establish his child support obligations.
