Three weeks on from Cork getting the run on Tipperary in the league final, the teams return to Páirc Uí Chaoimh for what should be a very different encounter. In between, Cork have been built up as All Ireland favourites, but they got a firm reminder last weekend of the realities of life in the Munster Championship.
Their first half in Ennis was even better than their league form as they pulled the Clare back line all over the field. Cork did get a big warning in that opening 35, though, as Peter Duggan won a high delivery but was denied a goal by a superb Patrick Collins save.
