In a post carried on its Facebook page this afternoon, Mullingar Islamic Cultural Society revealed Abdur’s funeral will take place today at Mullingar’s Mosque or Masjid.
“The funeral for little Abdur will be held today at the Mullingar Islamic Cultural Society,” a spokesperson informed the Irish Independent.
In doing so, members of the public are being asked to refrain from visiting the hospital or the family’s home in Mullingar.
News surrounding Monday evening’s incident has continued to be felt far and wide, emotions that have been exacerbated by the fact little Abdur had only celebrated his fourth birthday on Saturday.
Floral tributes continue to be left at the scene of the incident, one of which poignantly read: ‘Little man’ while surrounded by a sea of other moving messages of sympathy.
