

Gardaí have confirmed two men were hospitalised with “serious but not life-threatening injuries” yesterday following an assault in Dublin.
The incident happened at 2.30pm on Wednesday, May 14, on Frederick Lane North, Dublin 1.
A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí responded to reports of a male assaulted by two individuals on Frederick Lane North, Dublin 1 yesterday, Wednesday, May 14, at approximately 2.30pm.
“Two men, aged 30s and 20s, received treatment at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
“No arrests have been made at this time.

“Anyone who may have information related to this incident is asked to contact Mountjoy Garda Station on 01 666 8600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
“Investigations are ongoing,” they added.
The scene was also closed off yesterday following the incident for gardaí to carry out a thorough investigation, with officers searching bins in the area.
