In the same week that the Munster Camogie Association postponed the provincial final between Waterford and Cork because of players wearing shorts and not the official skorts, officials at Cannes Film Festival decreed that “for decency reasons”, a slate of new rules should be considered for those dressing for the event’s red carpet.
According to the festival’s website, “nudity”, meaning sheer fabric, “is prohibited on the red carpet, as well as in any other area of the festival”.
