Babies and toddlers were left to cry for over an hour due to insufficient staff numbers to comfort them at a Wexford crèche, a Tusla Inspection report has found.
In addition, the inspection carried out at Discoveryland Crèche and Montessori in Newlands in Wexford town found that there was “persistent crying” coming from the baby room, that parents were not being given accurate information about their children’s day and, on one occasion the inspector even had to ask a staff member to contact the parents of an “inconsolable” child.
