Amid Blake Lively’s ongoing legal battle, news broke that she drifted apart from onetime best friend Taylor Swift — but when were they last spotted together?
Lively, 37, and Swift, 35, most recently enjoyed a double date night with respective partners Ryan Reynolds and Travis Kelce in October 2024. The pairs dined at The Corner Store, a celebrity hotspot in NYC’s Soho neighborhood.
Swift and Lively have famously been friends since 2015, with the pop star even serving as the godmother to Lively and Reynolds’ three daughters. (The married couple also shares son Olin, 2.)
Earlier in 2024, Swift and Lively notably cheered on Kelce in the Super Bowl that February after another evening out at Brooklyn’s Lucali the month before. Lively also attended Swift’s 34th birthday bash in December 2023. When Swift watched Kelce in the Super Bowl in February 2025, Lively was noticeably absent. Since then, Swift has also kept a very low profile, save for a few date nights with Kelce and their families.
Us confirmed earlier this month that the women’s friendship is “not what it used to be.”
“Taylor is very uncomfortable about being pulled into the lawsuit,” a source exclusively told Us in the latest cover story. “It’s a huge thing now.”
Lively sued her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni in late 2024, claiming that he sexually harassed her and tried to destroy her reputation when they worked together. Baldoni, 41, denied the allegations before filing a $400 million defamation suit against Lively and Reynolds, 48. The duo rebuffed Baldoni’s accusations and filed to dismiss his motion.

Baldoni’s team, meanwhile, dragged Swift into the courtroom battle in May, sending her a subpoena for any texts with Lively. (A judge has since ruled that Baldoni’s legal letter claiming Lively told Swift to delete their texts — and threatened to leak them if Swift did not comply — is inadmissible. Lively’s camp also slammed the accusations as false.)
“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film,” a rep for Swift told Us in a May 9 statement following news of the singer receiving a subpoena. “She did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”
The spokesperson added, “The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

While Swift has distanced herself from Lively in the wake of the legal battle, speculation has also swirled around the Another Simple Favor star’s friendships with other famous faces like Gigi Hadid. While Lively once joked that she and the 30-year-old model coparented their respective children, they have not been publicly seen together in a year.
Lively last brought Hadid as her date to Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine premiere in July 2024, where they playfully paid homage to the MCU characters with their stylish red and yellow outfits. Hadid, who is also a close friend of Swift’s, has not publicly addressed an apparent falling-out or Lively’s legal battle.
