Cover models Livvy Dunne, Salma Hayek, Jordan Chiles and Lauren Chan joined more women featured in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue to celebrate the magazine’s launch at the Hard Rock Times Square in New York City on Thursday, ahead of the issue hitting stands on Saturday.
The 38 women posed in a range of swimwear in scenic locales around the world in the new issue, from Jamaica to Switzerland. For the launch celebration in New York, attendees left swimwear behind in lieu of more formal outfits, with brands like Stella McCartney and Gucci represented at the venue.
Below, WWD takes a look at some of the ensembles on display at the event.

Hayek displayed a maximalist Gothic look with a black dress featuring a fitted lacy bodice and sheer lacy sleeves as well as a voluminous skirt with feathery fringe. The dress was accompanied by black satin platform pumps from Amina Muaddi featuring a pointed-toe and soaring heel.
Jordan Chiles

A bandeau top was part of the look as well, while a stretch of fabric reached diagonally across the body creating a one-shoulder design.
