Angelina Jolie wore Brunello Cucinelli to the screening of “Eddington” at the 78th Cannes Film Festival on Friday. Jolie stepped on the red carpet in a champagne-colored ballgown from Cucinelli’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear womenswear collection.
The made-to-measure gown is made of a woven knit pattern and features intricate details that are more noticeable upclose. The pattern is embroidered in cashmere and silk with sparkling sequins that add a unique texture to the red carpet look. The floor-length dress features a strapless neckline, with a fitted bodice that flares out into an elegant poplin skirt.

The nude dress was the focal point of her look, so she kept things simple with a Chopard necklace that draped down her neck. Although the floor-length dress obscured her shoes, Jolie wore a pair of platform nude sandals. For her makeup, she went with a soft glam look and wore her ash blonde her hair out, draping down her shoulders.

The dress was Look 43 from the Brunello Cucinelli fall 2025 collection, which made its debut during Milan Fashion Week in February. “The goal is to offer unique pieces, exclusive and artisanal but not to present a creative act as an end in itself. While precious, the garments should be worn with ease,” Cucinelli told WWD, adding that “imperfect” touches add “authenticity and charm with out-of- place details.”

Jolie is set to present the trophy to rising stars Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett during a ceremony on Carlton Beach on Friday. The “Maria” star was at the screening to support the Ari Aster-directed “Eddington,” which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Austin Butler and Emma Stone. The film follows the political and social turmoil in the fictional city of Eddington, New Mexico, during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Eddington” will be released in theaters on July 18.
