Vanderpump Villa‘s Siadi received major backlash for his controversial behavior in season 2 — and he’s finally speaking out.
Siadi took to Instagram Story on Wednesday, May 14, writing, “Imagine hating me when all I really do is have my tea, eat my veggies and mind my own business.”
The newcomer also reshared Us‘ breakdown of the accusations made against him on the show. Season 2 of Vanderpump Villa, which premiered in April, began with Siadi coming in hot with a job in guest services and a romantic connection with fellow cast member Sianna.
It didn’t take long, however, for Siadi’s coworkers to question some of his behavior. The first point of confusion was Siadi speaking in an American accent but occasionally switching over to a British one. According to Lisa Vanderpump — and footage featured on the hit Hulu series — Siadi interviewed for the job with her with a British accent before swapping over.
Siadi, for his part, claimed that there wasn’t any big conspiracy. His intention was to fit in with the rest of the cast — who were mostly American — so he opted to code switch. The concerns about Siadi escalated because of his tumultuous relationship with Sianna.
After numerous ups and downs, Sianna left and Siadi didn’t seem to care. This led to his final days at Castello Rosato as his work deteriorated and Lisa dismissed him. Siadi’s costars later admitted that they were at a loss about how to navigate the drama.
“It put me in a weird situation because I feel like I leave with a good heart,” Andre Danté Mitchell exclusively told Us Weekly in April. “It put me in a weird place for a little bit. It was tough for me but I don’t regret it. But I did learn a lesson from it.”
One month later, Siadi skipped the reunion special for Vanderpump Villa.
“As you can see, Siadi is not with us today. He has since moved out of the country and he is unable to attend,” Lisa told the cast. “But there’s not denying he was at the center of many conflicts. There’s a lot to unpack.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Sianna slammed online claims that she dated Siadi before they met in season 2. She also confirmed they were no longer together and she has “deleted and blocked him everywhere.”
The cast didn’t discuss Siadi at the reunion for long because the topic changed to the stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives making an appearance in season 2. Despite Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor and Mikayla Matthews only appearing in two episodes, Marciano was grilled multiple times about whether he actually hooked up with one — or more — of the cast once filming wrapped.
Hulu viewers got their answer when the second season premiered on Thursday, May 15, and ended on a cliffhanger about Marciano’s alleged affair with Jessi, which came as a surprise to all of Us.
Vanderpump Villa and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are currently streaming on Hulu.
