Years after her on-and-off relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs came to an end, Cassie has built a new life for herself. Now married and with two kids — and a third on the way — the singer has called her new life “beyond any of my dreams and manifestations.”
She added in a March 2025 happy birthday post (that doubled as a sex reveal announcement) to her husband, Alex Fine, “You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other, you’re hands down the best girl dad and I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON!”
Cassie (real name Casandra Ventura) and Fine married in 2019, one year after her relationship with Diddy ended. He has been in New York City with her as she has testified in her ex-boyfriend’s trial for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. Diddy pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied all of the allegations against him.
His September 2024 arrest came nearly one year after Cassie filed a lawsuit against him accusing him of sexual and physical abuse throughout their relationship. Diddy denied her claims in a statement shared by his attorney.
“Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations,” Diddy’s lawyer Ben Brafman said in November 2023.
One day after the suit was filed, Diddy and Cassie settled out of court. In May 2024, CNN published a hotel surveillance video of Diddy kicking and grabbing Cassie in 2016. He later apologized for his actions in a video shared via Instagram.

Alex Fine
Cassie and Fine, a personal trainer, married in August 2019 and welcomed their first daughter four months later. She hasn’t hesitated to publicly show her love for her husband, often posting about him on social media and praising him as a husband and father.
“There’s literally nothing like spending this life with my 3 best friends,” she wrote in an Instagram tribute to him on his birthday in March 2024. “I have to pinch myself everyday. I love you with the heart, to the moon & back for eternity 🫶🏽 Happy Birthday, Alex! You have my heart forever ♥️.”
Fine has returned the favor on his own channels and showed his support when CNN initially shared the hotel surveillance video.
“Men who hit women aren’t men,” he wrote at the time. “Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men. As men, violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable, check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the upmost [sic] regard. Men who hurt women hate women.”
Frankie
Cassie and Fine welcomed their first daughter, Frankie, in December 2019.
She explained in a 2020 interview with Hatch that she wants Frankie to be able to see her balancing work and motherhood.
“I don’t want to lose myself in becoming a mom,” she explained. “Of course, I will do anything for her, but I also want to remain true to myself. I want her to grow up watching me do my thing. I want her to see me making music, building my business, being a mom, a wife, a force, and be inspired by it all.”
Sunny
The couple’s second daughter, Sunny, was born in March 2021.
“On Monday March 22nd, 2021 @ 10:22am our hearts got bigger,” Cassie wrote via Instagram. “Welcome to the world baby girl! We love you so much Sunny Cinco Fine!”
Regina and Rodrick Ventura
The daughter of Regina and Roderick Ventura, Cassie comes from a military family with grandparents on both sides serving in the armed forces.
“I’m from Connecticut. My mom is an army brat and my dad is a navy brat,” she explained in a 2008 interview with BlackFilm.com. “My childhood was fun. My parents are still together. My childhood was pretty carefree. I tried a little of everything when I was little. I tried karate, I tried ballet, I tried piano lessons and singing lessons … I was a pretty normal kid, for the most part.”
Cassie added that Rodrick is of Filipino descent and Regina is Mexican, Black and West Indian.
