Auri – the band featuring vocalist and violinist Johanna Kurkela alongside Nightwish keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen and guitarist Troy Donockley – is back for the first time in four years with a new song and a new record on the horizon! Auri is now streaming “Shieldmaiden” from their upcoming record III – Candles & Beginnings, due out August 15. Pre-orders are available here.
“Our new album Auri III is waiting to be released, and one of its songs, ‘Shieldmaiden’, has already escaped,” said Donockley of the single and album. “It’s a mysterious song, obscured by its own slow rising power. Auri thrives on mystery and ambiguity so all is well…”
