A UN peacekeeping position in south Lebanon was hit with direct fire yesterday, with UNIFIL, the UN mission in Lebanon, saying it is “concerned by the recent aggressive posture of the Israeli Defence Forces involving UNIFIL personnel and assets near the Blue Line”.
In a statement, UNIFIL said peacekeepers observed two shots fired from south of the Blue Line, with one of them hitting the perimeter of a UNIFIL position south of the village of Kfar Shouba.
