Accused Satchwell insisted to gardai that he was not a monster
MURDER accused Richard Satchwell (58) insisted to Gardaí he was “not a monster” as he said he cradled the dead body of his wife Tina (45) in his arms for an hour and a half in their home, kissing her head, after he claimed she died as he defended himself from her when she attacked him with a wood chisel.
The truck driver sobbed as he told Gardaí he had “no excuses” for not immediately revealing his wife Tina’s death and claimed her face was left “distorted with anger” after she went limp in his arms following the attack.
