The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter has found herself in the middle of Travis Mullen’s custody battle with ex-wife Meghan Mullen.
According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Travis filed an emergency motion on March 31 requesting sole legal and physical custody of the three children he shares with Meghan. (In Touch was first to report the news.)
“After all of the time, energy and expense [Meghan] and I have gone to in seeking ‘workable’ custody orders, [Meghan’s] behavior continues to undermine my custodial time and attempt to alienate the children from me,” Travis alleged in court documents. “For over a year, I have tried to reason with [Meghan] and have sought her cooperation in coparenting our children, but nothing has improved.”
Per the court documents, Travis alleged that Meghan is not taking one of their sons to school and “allowing repeated unexcused absences.”
He also alleged that Meghan is “refusing to allow me to have our children during my court ordered custodial time.”
“She refused to give me her current address and ignores my attempts to contact her via Talking Parents, which were required to use for our communications,” he stated per court documents.
Travis and Meghan got married in 2010 but later separated in 2016. He has since moved on with Gina, who is a star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County.
In her response to Travis’ request for sole legal and physical custody, Meghan maintained that she is “seeking balance, fairness and safety for our children.”

“Our children … have repeatedly reported to me that they are afraid of their father and his girlfriend, Gina Kirschenheiter,” she alleged in court documents. “All three children have told me Gina speaks negatively about me and creates tension in the household.”
Meghan denied using illicit substances and alleged that Travis’ filings “appear intended to punish and control me, not to protect the children.”
“I am not asking this Court to punish Travis or Gina. l am asking for protection, fairness and balance,” she wrote per court documents. “I respectfully request the Court to consider all evidence submitted and grant the relief necessary to protect their best interests.” A hearing on the case has been set for July.
During season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Gina and Travis agreed to spend more time apart, partly due to his divorce battle taking a toll on their relationship.
“The things that were happening from his other side were not okay and I didn’t want my children around it anymore,” Gina — who shares three children with ex-husband Matt Kirschenheiter — explained on an October 2024 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “There were things that were happening that literally made me feel unsafe and that were affecting my kids. Look, Travis is a victim of this too. But that doesn’t mean that I want to continue to be in that environment.”
Gina and Travis — who recently helped launch a new real estate team — remain together and are expected to appear on season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
