Tina Knowles Goes Sheer in Nadine Merabi for ‘Matriarch’ Event

Tina Knowles made the latest stop on her “Matriarch” promotional tour at The Fillmore in New Orleans on Saturday. The entrepreneur and designer joined daytime talk show host Tamron Hall for an onstage conversation about her new memoir.

Knowles, mother of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Solange Knowles, opted for a coordinated suit look courtesy of Nadine Merabi. The look featured a bold design, with white sequin embroidered lace mesh trousers and a complementary blazer.

The ensemble included a statement oriental pattern cascading down both pieces with shimmering elements. Knowles’ attire married ornate embroidery with a sheer nude mesh lining that broke the pattern, creating a high-contrast effect.

The trousers of Knowles’ look were crafted with a high waist, a mesh-faced waistband for comfort and a scalloped hem along the bottom. Finished with a mesh-bound zipper and seams for comfort, and a flair from the knee down.    

The coordinated blazer included such distinct elements as satin-covered shoulder pads with bound edges, a collar with satin edges and a scalloped hem along the bottom of the bodice, and the sleeves.

Prior to Knowles’ New Orleans appearance, the “Matriarch” author attended an event with former First Lady Michelle Obama to launch her nine-city book tour in National Harbor, Md., on April 30. Obama, clad in a design from McQueen’s spring 2025 collection, joined Knowles onstage for the event.

Knowles’ book tour, organized by Live Nation, features in nine cities and concludes in London on June 4. Knowles was joined by such high-profile figures as Katie Holmes and Lorraine Schwartz on April 22 for her book’s launch event in New York City. She wore a dress from Stella McCartney’s spring 2025 collection.
