Princess Kate Middleton’s latest project amid her cancer battle is all about her passion for nature.
The Princess of Wales, 43, announced the launch of her new video series “Mother Nature” by sharing a sweet video of herself and Prince William enjoying time together in the picturesque outdoors.
“Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary. The natural world’s capacity to inspire us, to nurture us and help us heal and grow is boundless and has been understood for generations,” Kate said via voiceover in the clip, which was shared via her and William’s social media platforms on Monday, May 12. “It is through nature, that we can fully understand the true interconnectedness of all things, the importance of balance and the importance of renewal and resilience. Connecting to nature helps us to experience a deeper sense of ourselves, the world around us and each other.”
She continued, “Spring is a season of rebirth, of hope and new beginnings. From the dark days of winter, the outside world quietly awakens with new life, and there comes a sense of optimism, anticipation and positive, hopeful change. Just as nature revives and renews, so too can we.”
Kate concluded the video by encouraging others to “reconnect with nature and celebrate a new dawn within our hearts,” adding, “It is often from the smallest of seeds that the greatest change can happen, and in this ever-growing complex world, we need to hold on to what connects us all. Spring is here, so let’s make the most of it together.”
Among the clip’s many gorgeous nature shots were shots of Kate and William, 42, looking loved up and smiling. The footage was captured by Will Warr during the couple’s visit to the Isle of Mull in Scotland, per Hello! magazine.

Kate shared more details about her new project and “the importance of the connection between humanity and nature” in the post’s caption. “The Mother Nature series is a reminder and reflection of the beauty and complexity of the human experience,” she wrote. “It is a tribute to the lessons we can learn from nature, helping us to foster our own growth, strengthen our bonds with the world around us and each other. Kate’s “Mother Nature” video series marks her latest project amid her cancer battle. Nearly one year after announcing her diagnosis with an unspecified form of cancer in March 2024, she announced via social media in January that she is officially in remission and remains “focused on recovery.”
As she dives back into work, Kate has resumed public appearances with her husband and the rest of the royal family. She, William and their three kids — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — attended several VE Day events together on May 5.
Kate later traded her all-purple outfit for a polka dot dress and black hat at more VE day events on May 8. William, for his part, showed off his facial hair while appearing alongside Kate, King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
