Colm Keys: Hard to see what can be done in these situations. The end of tight, tense games like this can be a tinderbox, especially if there’s a trigger like a celebration that goads the vanquished. That said, the reaction was way over the top and, given what could have happened if it wasn’t for the respective managers and others intervening, punishment should be significant.
