Irish Pulitzer Prize winner Declan Walsh has spoken about the horrors of war and what drew him to work in some of the world’s worst conflict zones.
“I realised a lot of it is about the impact that these huge international conflicts have on ordinary people’s lives. It tears them apart, as they try to survive”, the Mayo man said.
