Pope Leo XIV celebrated a private Mass on Sunday near the tomb of St Peter, before he delivered his first Sunday noon blessing from St Peter’s Basilica.
During the blessing, the new Pope called for “no more war”, a lasting peace in Ukraine and Gaza, and the release of the Israeli hostages.
