Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson didn’t quite snag the crown at this year’s Miss Maine pageant — but she got close.
Hudson was named second runner-up in the beauty competition on Sunday, May 11. Belichick was spotted supporting Hudson on Saturday, May 10, at the Holiday Inn in Portland, Maine.
The 24-year-old competed in the interview, evening gown and swimsuit portions of the competition, and entered the event ranked No. 7 in the pageant’s online voting system.
The winner of the title of Miss Maine USA 2025 is automatically selected as the state’s representative in the 2025 Miss USA pageant. Hudson announced she would be competing for the Miss Maine 2025 title last month.
“Happy International Pageant Day👑✨,” Hudson wrote via Instagram on April 10. “I couldn’t think of a better day to share with the world that I will be competing for Miss Maine USA 2025; representing my hometown Hancock. 🫶🏼💜[insert mussel shell emoji]. For full event details, go to missmaineusa.com.”
The news came just days after the University of North Carolina, where Belichick, 73, is now head coach of the football team, addressed rumors Hudson had been banned from the team’s practice facilities.
“While Jordon Hudson is not an employee at the University or Carolina Athletics, she is welcome to the Carolina Football facilities,” Carolina Athletics said in a statement to Us Weekly on Friday, May 9. “Jordon will continue to manage all activities related to Coach Belichick’s personal brand outside of his responsibilities for Carolina Football and the University.”
Journalist Pablo Torre had reported on his podcast “Pablo Torre Finds Out” earlier that day that Hudson was “no longer allowed in the football building, she is not allowed on the football field.”
In early May Hudson drew criticism after she interrupted Belichick’s sit-down interview with CBS Sunday Morning.
“I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep that conversation centered on the book,” Belichick said in a statement released by the University of North Carolina on April 30. “After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”
