Well, ain’t this a helluva headline – The Whisky A Go Go, a famous rock club in West Hollywood, took a hit from a truck carrying soil yesterday afternoon (May 9th).
No life-threatening injuries came from the crash, but KTLA, a Los Angeles news station, reported that it caused a power outage in a main power line that impacted over 1,400 customers. Subsequently, Boy Hits Car had to cancel their show last night.
KTLA captured video evidence of the aftermath of the crash, showing a dump truck lodged on top of a pile of cars and into the brick exterior of the venue. The video then pans in on a mail truck which appears to have been struck before the dump truck crashed into the parking lot, and wall, of The Whisky A Go Go. You can find the footage below.
Boy Hits Car – maybe, more like Truck Hits Cars – did confirm that the cancellation of their show last night was due to the crash, and have announced that they plan on rescheduling their The Whisky A Go Go show for the future, but in the meantime, will be refunding people for their tickets.
Boy Hits Car also laughs about the fact that they had a brand new single drop yesterday, titled “Mind Elevation” in their Instagram announcement. You can check out their new single below.
