At the end of countless predicted Lions squads over the last couple of years, Andy Farrell’s 38-man group was largely along expected lines, which meant the usual outrage didn’t materialise.
As with all squad selections, there were players confident of getting the nod, some who were breathing a sigh of relief that they made the cut, and others who were left gutted when their name wasn’t read out.
