In the end, the only outrageous thing about this Lions selection was that there was no outrage.
There was more drama in the Vatican where a 40/1 long shot was elected Pope. No need for white smoke in London where the Lions went with a live show to announce their squad, playing for time to inject some drama and then delivering a squad that delivered very little.
