Way back in 1976 when Motörhead was legendary frontman Lemmy alongside guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke and drummer Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor, the band recorded a bunch of songs at Emerson, Lake & Palmer‘s legendary Manticore Studio. Now for the very first time a full 49 years later, those sessions have surfaced as The Manticore Tapes due out June 27. The deluxe version of The Manticore Tapes runs as follows:

The tapes were originally recorded by Ron Faucus, restored by Motörhead collaborator Cameron Webb at Maple Studios, and mastered by Andrew Alekel at Bolskine House in Los Angeles. Pre-orders for The Manticore Tapes are available here.
