A woman who denies she is a “hoarder” has lost an appeal against an order granting a county council temporary access to her apartment to remove “thousands” of items of plastic waste.
Judge Eoin Garavan, sitting at Castlebar Circuit Civil Court, upheld the ruling of the district court after hearing evidence about the woman’s living conditions. The court was told Anna Marie Flanagan, aged in her 50s, has lived in emergency accommodation for homeless people in Mayo since 2018.
