Pig Pen – the new band Matty Matheson (chef, restaurateur, and actor from FX’s The Bear), guitarists Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire, Dooms Children) and Daniel Romano, drummer Ian Romano (Daniel Romano’s Outfit), and bassist Tommy Major (Daniel Romano’s Outfit, Young Guv) – recently played their first show and has now announced their debut record Mental Madness, due out June 27.
Pig Pen is now streaming their first single “Mental Mentality”, which they didn’t explain what the means. So whatever you think Pig Pen‘s mental mentality is, there ya go.
On the record itself, Matheson said: “You can be having a beautiful day, surrounded by friends and your brain can continuously ruin it. No matter how good or bad your life is, you can still hate yourself. I’ve got to ask myself why am I feeling the ways I’m feeling?”
Mental Madness was mixed by Arthur Rizk (Cold World, Fucked Up, Power Trip) and mastered by Alan Douches. Pre-orders are available here.
