The red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala turned into the ideal date night for several A-list couples on Monday in New York City. The annual event took place ahead of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s spring exhibition.

Couple coordination was a major trend on the red carpet for such pairs as Pharrell Williams and his wife of roughly 12 years Helen Lasichanh. Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union also put a spin on couple coords in black and white. Here, WWD breaks down more 2025 Met Gala couples and their looks.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade opted not only for a similar color scheme with their respective looks, but also wore attire by the same designer. Union and Wade styled looks courtesy of Prada for the 2025 Met Gala. Union’s strapless dress featured a black column gown with a flowing white train attached at the waist. Wade styled a three-piece suit complete with black trousers, a white coat with tails, shimmering vest and button-up collared shirt with a black tie.

Colman and Raúl Domingo

Colman Domingo reigned supreme on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet in his Valentino cape in royal blue with a bevy of shimmering elements on the collar and neckline. Shortly after, he forwent his cape for a black-and-white suit with echoes of vintage flair also by the Italian luxury fashion house. The two-time Oscar-nominated actor accessorized with jewelry by Boucheron. Domingo’s husband, Raúl, also wore a suit, donning an allover shimmering purple number for the gala.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas also favored black and white dressing for the 2025 Met Gala. Chopra went with a polka dot dress with slim black belt to cinch her waist courtesy of Olivier Rousteing of Balmain, accessorizing with a dramatic black hat. Jonas wore a suited look with a spin, thanks to a design by Bianca Saunders.

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner

Dua Lipa married retro flair with sheer dressing in her sleeveless look courtesy of Chanel. The look featured plumage at the drop waist of the dress, along with sheer elements on the bodice replicated by long opera gloves. Callum Turner styled a black and white suit, which complemented the “Dance the Night” singer’s attire seamlessly.

Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh

Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh wore looks courtesy of Louis Vuitton for the 2025 Met Gala. The Grammy Award-winning artist went with a suited look with flared black trousers and an off-white blazer with sharp lapels. Lasichanh selected a black bodysuit with an oversized jacket and sheer black tights embossed with the Louis Vuitton logo.

The 2025 Met Gala, held Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, features the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” The event highlights Black dandyism and menswear, with a “Tailored for You” dress code. Cochairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour.
