There had been question marks lingering over Limerick ahead of their trip to Walsh Park on Saturday. With a fresh-looking team and some positional switches, there was curiosity surrounding just where they were at, and whether they really were the all-conquering force of old. But it’s safe to say the bear has been poked.
In the first round, against Tipperary, they weren’t up to proper championship intensity, despite showing some incredible flashes. But on Saturday evening, it was consistent quality all over the pitch.
