Obama was a special guest and moderator of “Matriarch — An Evening With Tina Knowles,” held at the MGM National Harbor in Maryland. Styled by Meredith Koop, with whom she’s worked since 2010, Obama wore a double-breasted tuxedo jacket and trousers in wool mohair from McQueen‘s spring 2025 collection.
The wife of former President Barack Obama completed her look for the event with makeup by Carl Ray and a waist-length French braid styled by Njeri Radway.

Obama has also been promoting her new podcast, “IMO.” She made a few appearances for a live taping of the show at SXSW in Austin, Texas. The podcast has featured high-profile guests, including Tracee Ellis Ross, Taraji P. Henson and Keke Palmer.
