Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes is reportedly being lined up for Celebs Go Dating.
After model Christine McGuinness quit the new series of the E4 reality show just days after jetting out to film in Ibiza, the former Love Island star is said to be stepping in.
There have been weeks of speculation about his close bond with CBB housemate JoJo Siwa, and now Chris, 32, could be joining the dating show after a few years being single.
‘This is set to be a great coup for Celebs Go Dating,’ a source told The Sun.
‘The agents will be eager to get to know the real truth about Chris and what he is looking for following his connection with JoJo.’
Christine had been filming the programme in Ibiza, but got overwhelmed with the attention on her love life following her divorce from Paddy McGuinness.

She said in a statement: ‘I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me.
‘They’ve said the door is always open for me, which I’m so grateful for, but for now I’m returning home to my family.’
Who is in Celebs Go Dating 2025?
- Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona
- Too Hot To Handle star Louis Russell
- Love Island All Stars’ Olivia Hawkins
- S Club 7 member Jon Lee
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Celebs Go Dating added they ‘completely respect’ Christine’s decision to step down.
They commented: ‘We have loved having Christine on the show and completely respect her feelings and decision to return home and have told her that the door is always open for her in the future at the agency.’
If Chris does step in to replace her, it comes after he described JoJo as his ‘soulmate’.
During their time in the CBB house, they quickly hit it off, and spent much of their time on the show together, as he supported her after homophobic remarks from Mickey Rourke.
Inside Chris Hughes’ love life
- Chris has been single for three years, but has had several high profile romances
- He met Olivia Attwood on Love Island in 2017 and they finished third, staying together after the show before breaking up the following year
- He moved on with Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, and they dated for 16 months before a source told Metro their romance had ‘run its course’
- Chris later went Instagram official with pro golfer Annabel Dimmock, but their relationship ended in 2022
There was plenty of speculation that they were more than friends, after they were seen cuddling and giving each other back rubs.
The came under the spotlight again after JoJo dumped her partner Kath Ebbs at the wrap party.

However, earlier this week they appeared on This Morning together and opened up about their ‘strong friendship’.
‘I think our friendship, it’s hard to explain. It’s just a strong bond between two people, just a strong friendship. I think you can have a soulmate friendship,’ he said.
Host Cat Deeley asked if JoJo would like her connection with Chris to come more than platonic.
She gave a cryptic answer, calling him a ‘great guy’ and saying she’s ‘grateful’ for her bond, adding: ‘Whatever life does, life will do.’
Metro has contacted reps for Celebs Go Dating and Chris Hughes for comment.
