Millie Bobby Brown‘s brand Florence by Mills jet sets to a new corner of the market with fresh, stylish luggage thanks to its first collaboration with Delsey Paris Luggage. The partnership marks Florence by Mills’ first foray into travel, and the Emmy Award-nominated founder spoke with WWD about the “organic” and “authentic” qualities behind the collaboration.
“Being a young person and traveling a lot at a really young age honestly my least favorite part was packing,” Brown told WWD in an exclusive interview. “When we started talking about getting into luggage and that kind of world with Florence, I was like, there’s no other company that I want to work with. Delsey is unbelievable.”

With each of Florence by Mills’ collaborations and partnerships, Brown emphasized a desire to make the experience “feel consistent and more like a friendship. This partnership has been like that,” she said. The goal is to, ultimately, deliver a quality product to a niche area of the market without sacrificing style.
“I really wanted it to feel like we cared. We didn’t just throw something together,” Brown said of the luggage collection, which includes carry-on bags, suitcases, totes and more. Accessibility was key to creation. “I’ve never seen luggage like it,” Brown said. “I was really excited to develop things that I have not seen in stores.”

Since its inception in 2019, Florence by Mills has progressed alongside its majority stakeholder and founder, Brown. “The brand has always grown with me,” the “Stranger Things” actress said. “I started developing things as I developed. That, I feel, I really love and I think sets us apart,” she said. In March, the brand ventured into athleisure and sports apparel, with the Florence by Mills “Gym Later” sportswear collection.
“The thing I’m most looking forward to is our longevity. We’re not a company that’s trying to send out quick products — things that fill space and add to an [existing] market,” Brown said. “We’re actually sitting down in development meetings and figuring out what areas are missing in the market and what do our consumers, the people that love and buy Florence, what are they looking for? What do they need? I think that is what I’m most looking forward to.”

As Brown and her Florence by Mills team embrace this new chapter, understanding the responsibility the brand has to create a safe space for customers isn’t far from mind. “Florence is our message,” Brown said. “We sell makeup and skin care and all the things, but that is because we want you to express yourself. Not because anyone else wants you to look a certain way or do a certain thing. But because you like it and you want it for yourself.”
Florence by Mills functions as a space where consumers can “feel safe” and “excited to explore and play with product,” Brown said. “I think especially for the self-love that women need, especially coming from me, I wanted to create this company so that girls felt there’s a safe space when you don’t know what to do. That’s Florence.”
