Gerry Adams arrives at High Court in Dublin as his defamation case against the BBC continues
Gerry Adams has claimed he wanted an out-of-court resolution to his legal dispute with the BBC over a programme in which it was claimed he sanctioned the murder of British spy Denis Donaldson.
The former Sinn Féin president said, however, that letters from his lawyers seeking an apology and compensation were met with “offensive and insulting” responses from the BBC.
