Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan has been called on to urgently intervene after the family of Leitrim pensioner Liam Farrell said they have “lost all faith” in the investigation into their father’s suspicious death.
Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly recently wrote to the minister, asking him to use his powers to “direct that a new independent inquiry by a separate policing team be carried out into the circumstances of the death of Mr Farrell”.
