Our critic gets messy with tasty Turkish food at bargain prices right in Dublin city centre

Whenever I pass a concert venue, I try to guess who’s playing by the cut of the audience. Some fans make it easier than others, what with the merch and tribute outfits, but I’m not sure I’d have figured out that it was Ocean Colour Scene on stage at the Olympia one night last week had it not been for a sneaky look at the billboard outside. Gary Barlow the following evening might have been easier. But whatever the band playing, when revellers spill out onto Dame Street, they are spoilt for choice if kebabs are their post-gig eat of choice.
I know a Dublin restaurant owner whose ritual it is, once in the taxi on the way home from the airport, to place a Deliveroo order for a kebab from Reyna to arrive at his house at the same time he does. It’s his comfort food, the thing that helps ease the pain of re-entry.
